When you feel something bubbling up inside of you, some sort of panic (it could be quiet or loud) building because of potential rejection in a relationship, stop, breathe, and ask yourself the following questions. The goal is to identify if we're responding to an internal fear or a genuine external event.
Answer based on your first internal shift, not the later behavior, not your best day, and not the story you wish was true.

- Inward means: “I became the problem.”
- Meaning assigned means: “My brain decided intent before facts.”
- Action urge means: “Doing something felt safer than understanding.”
- Final Gate is the decider: proportionate + confirmed = baseline.
